Gustav Vasa ruled Sweden 1523-1560. Because of the many social and political reforms carried out by the king the era is known as the beginning of the early modern period. Our department has paid a lot of attention to the early modern period. The focus of our studies is represented in the work of the research group Early Modern Morals.
